I am a counsellor and psychotherapist, and have been working in this industry for nine years. I bring a great breadth and depth of both life and industry experience to my role. As such, I can work alongside my clients with compassion, wisdom and expertise - whilst respecting them as the experts in their own life.

Having found 'talking therapy' very helpful at various times in my own journey, I wanted to support others experiencing difficulty and distress in their own lives. With a focus on helping clients to identify and clarify the change they wish to make, I provide a 'safe' platform from which they can work towards their preferred future.

To maintain my professional membership with the Australian Counselling Association, I must satisfy continuing requirements for professional development, training, and supervision. I am required to abide by a code of ethics, designed to protect clients and provide the best possible outcomes.
I maintain ongoing learning, through professional development and personal research into the continual evolution of, and exciting gains in our industry. The ultimate goal always being to provide the best therapeutic service and experience to my clients.
I am particularly interested in:-
-
Neuroscientific research into brain 'plasticity', and the connection between talking therapy and structural changes in the brain - enabling people to shift negative thought patterns to more positive and functional ones
-
Nature therapy, and the profound and positive impact it can have on the experience of mental ill-health
-
The scientifically supported practice of 'Gratitude', and the positive effect it has on our emotional, psychological and physical health.
